The CEO of Protein Capital Management Sarl, Alberto has more than 20 years of professional experience in the financial industry, mainly in two areas: Trading & Private Equity. He spent more than 8 years in Stuttgart (Germany) working at Staufen Investment GmbH where he trained as a trader and developed the concept of demographic / generational financial investment.
Alberto has the following certifications: CFTe (International Federation of Technical Analyst), CBP (Certified Bitcoin Professional) and CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) (level 1) as well as an MBA from the University of Sønderborg, Denmark.
Ricardo acts as CIO, he holds an industrial engineering degree from UCAB Venezuela. He joined Protein Capital in September 2022. Up until he joined Protein, he actively managed a portfolio of digital assets for himself and for investors.
He has 7 years of experience investing in crypto markets and has designed a variety of data-driven methods to identify successful projects in their early stages and monitor their performance. These strategies have been integrated into the Liquid Venture and Venture Capital Funds.
José María acts as Risk Manager for Protein Capital. He has been an active investor in the crypto space since 2012 investing personally in the blockchain and crypto sector, both in crypto assets as well as in crypto firms’ equity.
He designed an end-to-end methodology for efficient research and risk management applied to crypto and blockchain projects. He also participates in fund raising activities.
Enrique acts as Protein Capital’s Chief Legal Officer. As a Partner in the Tax Department at Eversheds Sutherland Nicea, Enrique is an expert in transactional tax, corporate restructuring and bankruptcy.
With extensive experience in Tax Law he managed the tax area at Ontier, a member of the Tax Department at Allen & Overy as counsel, after the transition through Cuatrecasas and Garrigues.
